Workshop “Coordinated evaluations of higher education institutions in Montenegro”

Within the Project “Higher Education and Research for Innovation and Competitiveness” funded by the World Bank loan, the Ministry of Education on 15 November 2013, organized workshop on External Institutional Coordinated Evaluations implementation for higher education institutions in Montenegro, which will result in individual evaluation reports for the higher education institutions, as well as overall, integrated report on higher education system in Montenegro. Overall implementation is commissioned to “European University Association” – Institutional Evaluation Programme, member of ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and listed in EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education). It is expected that entire process will be implemented in line with clearly defined guidelines and to be completed until the end of 2014.

On behalf of the Ministry of Education, introduction was given by Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Ms. Mubera Kurpejović, while on behalf of Institutional Evaluation Programme opening speech was given by Ms. Tia Loukkola, Head of the Institutional Evaluation Programme Secretariat. In addition, presenters on the workshop were Mr. Henrik Toft Jensen, former rector at Roskilde University, Denmark, Ms. Pika Radmilovič, Head of Centre for Quality Development, University of Maribor, Slovenia and Ms. Thérèse Zhang, Programme Manager at the Institutional Evaluation Programme. During presentations, the overall evaluation process has been presented, as well as detail steps and responsabilities of institutions of higher education. The workshop participants were representatives of the higher education institutions, who will be closely involved in the evaluation process, representatives of the Council for Higher Education, as well as representatives of the Department for Higher Education within the Ministry of Education. As part of delivered presentations, participants were in position to post questions, and immediately obtain detail answers related to different evaluation phases.
