Press release: Decision on the winner of the State Award “Oktoih” in 2013

The Jury for the State Award “Oktoih” whose members are Pavle Goranovic, President, Prof. Dr Marko Camaj, member, Svetislav Bakic, member, Milica Pajovic, member, Borislav Kascelan, member, at the IV-th session, held on 16 December 2013, made the decision to give the State Award “Oktoih” for 2013 to a Public Preschool Institution “Zagorka Ivanovic” from Cetinje and to Mirjana Vucinic, the biology professor in Elementary school “Jugoslavija” Bar.

The Jury for awarding the National Award “Oktoih” received proposals for 4 institutions and 4 individuals.

The Award “Oktoih” as the highest honour for contributing to improving the educational work, loyalty and commitment to a teaching profession was set in 1970 and it  is given in accordance with Article 14 of the Law on Public Awards (“The Official Gazette of Montenegro”, num. 38/07).

Every year “Oktoih” is awarded to individuals and institutions of education (preschool, elementary, secondary and higher, as well as the pupil and student standard) for the exceptional results in education.

The awards, covering plaque, diploma and money, will be officially given to the winners by Minister of Education, Mr. Slavoljub Stijepovic, on 17 January 2014.
