Press release: The official awarding of certificates to authors of the best literary and art works at the competition organized on the occasion of celebrating the jubilee – 200 years from the birth of Njegos

On Wednesday, 18 December 2013 at 11 o’clock in the Ministry of Education, the authors of the best literary and art works of pupils of elementary and secondary schools at the competition organized by the Ministry of Education, have officially received awards,  on the occasion of celebrating the jubilee-200 years from the birth of Njegos.

On this occasion, pupils, mentors, parents and representatives of media also attended the ceremony.

The awards consisting of valuable books and diplomas were officially awarded by Deputy Minister Vesna Vucurovic, who congratulated the pupils “who have, with their creativity, contributed to the celebration of the jubilee-200 years since the birth of Njegos, proving that they understand and respect historical and cultural tradition of their country and that they are set towards positive values of a modern society in which there no limits for the talented, abilities and knowledge exist”. Diplomas are also awarded to mentors of the awarded pupils.

Literary competition – elementary school

Respected teachers, pupils, honoured guests, representatives of the media, ladies and gentleman,

It is my great pleasure to cordially greet you in the name of the Ministry of Education at the official awarding ceremony of the authors of the best literary and art works at the competition organized on the occasion of the jubilee celebration – 200 years from the birth of Njegos. This jubilee which enligths the most imposing personality of the Montenegrin history and culture, it is an occasion for our pupils to create their view of Njegos as poet and statesmen.

Over 400 art works of pupils from elementary and secondary schools. The Ministry of Education’s experts jury chose from a variety of beautiful and inspiring literary and art works the best works and ensured the awards – valuable books and diplomas. This is an occasion to appreciate also the efforts of mentors to whom the diplomas will also be awarded.

It is nice to be in such a company of smart, gifted children whose thoughts are wise and ideas are noble. Today, we are here to congratulate them because they contributed using their creativity to the celebration of the jubilee- 200 years from the birth of Njegos, proving that they understand and respect the historical and cultural tradition of their country and that they are set towards positive values of a modern society in which there are no limits for the talented, abilities and knowledge.
