Participants at the meeting were representatives of the ministries of education and science from eight South-East European countries (SEE): Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia as well as representatives from Italian Agencies SOCRATES (INDIRE) i LEONARDO (ISFOL), Regional Institutions for research in education (IRRE), and leading countries involved in the SOCRATES project.. Representatives of schools from each member country (SEE) respectfully were also invited, after they have been carefully selected to take part in future joint projects. Elementary school "Pavle Rovinski" from Montenegro has been chosen to take part in this seminar.

Each member country presented their own education systems with emphasis on education reform based on EU criteria. Our presentation on education reform in Montenegro has been particularly commended by member countries for the ways of its planning and implementation in Montenegro. Representatives from "Pavle Rovinski" will for a partner on a joint project have Elementary school "Marconi" from Italy (Martina Franca).

Participants had opportunity to exchange experiences on their previous work and to discuss their cooperation, especially concerning joint participation and applying for EU projects.
